Fairbank Farms established itself as an industry leading ground beef processor following a plant fire that destroyed the facility’s processing and distribution center in 1989.

| Beginning in 1992, Fairbank Farms embarked on a pioneering effort to supply retail customers with innovative technologies and creative packaging designed to increase sales and retail profitability. |

| In 1994, Fairbank Farms partnered with two
leading retailers to produce and deliver case
ready prepackaged beef, pork and poultry
products to consumers from a single, highly
efficient processing facility. Fairbank Farms
gained valuable experience and knowledge in raw
material sourcing and food safety as they sought
to optimize the production of the safest,
highest quality ground beef products. |

| In 2000, Fairbank Farms expanded its
geographical market presence with the addition
of a joint venture modified atmosphere packaged
(MAP) ground beef business, American Fresh
Foods, located in Fort Worth, TX. Our joint
venture partner, American Foodservice, King of
Prussia, PA has provided us with important
benefits in the development of industry leading
food safety programs and new insight into global
raw material markets. |

the United States. Fairbank Farms has a
